Living at Bodh Gaya Buddhist Centr
Residency at Bodh Gaya Buddhist Centre gives the opportunity to deepen our understanding and practice of Buddha's teachings within the support of a spiritual community. If you are interested in following the Buddhist way of life, why not move in?
Bodh Gaya Centre is a growing spiritual community dedicated to creating a place of peace and inspiration throughout the Greater Wellington area.
Bodh Gaya Centre is a beautiful colonial style wooden villa nestled in the leafy suburb of Khandallah. The Centre is located near the Khandallah village, half a block from the bus and 2 blocks from the Box Hill train station.
All residents are encouraged to contribute to the life of the community through their voluntary work, and to participate in daily prayers and meditation practice. This includes cooking, cleaning etc.
All three Kadampa study programs are available to residents, including Teacher Training Program, Foundation Program, and General Program with Kelsang Pagma, and many other courses and meditation retreats are taught throughout the year.
Becoming a resident at Bodh Gaya Centre is a special way to contribute to the flourishing of Kadam Dharma and an opportunity to begin or deepen our experience of a spiritual life.
A three month trial period is available. For details or to schedule a visit please email info@meditateinwellington.org
