Bodh Gaya Buddhist Centre is located in the leafy suburb of Khandallah, ten minutes north of Wellington city. We are a charitable organisation dedicated to helping people find practical solutions to the problems of daily life through Buddhist philosophy and meditation.
Everyone is welcome to attend our classes.
New Zealand Dharma Celebration 2012
Open to everyone, the annual New Zealand Dharma Celebration is an opportunity to enjoy a spiritual holiday of teachings, meditations and empowerment, in the company of spiritual practitioners from all over New Zealand.
At this Celebration, Gen Kelsang Rabten will grant the empowerment of Buddha Amitayus and give teachings on the methods to increase our lifespan, wisdom and merit. By engaging in Amitayus practice we can develop these qualities, which are essential for our spiritual development, and eventually attain the deathless state of enlightenment. We can also use this practice to remove obstacles that endanger the lives of others, especially our close friends and family.
